Socialization & Personality

The puppies are handled on a daily basis by a combination of children and adults to help them relate well to a variety of people as they grow up.
“Early Neurological Stimulation” is performed on the puppies from day 3 to 16 to enhance their trainability and resistance to stress. Read about it at AKC on ENS .
The puppies are introduced to a variety of city and country sounds, environments, surfaces, temperatures, & animals as they grow up, to help prepare them for the real world at your home!
The Volhard Aptitude Test is performed on the puppies in order to get a glimpse into their future personality for helping get you matched with the right puppy you. AKC on PAT

Genetic Health Testing

All of our dogs get all four OFA Tests recommended for Golden Retrievers: Heart, Eye, Hips, and Elbows. In addition to that they also get comprehensive Genetic DNA testing in order to see if they are carrying anything inside. Your puppy parents are carefully matched to ensure the best chance for a happy, healthy puppy for years to come!

Veterinary Care

Each Puppy comes with a Veterinarian Certificate of Inspection, and their first rounds of Vaccinations and Dewormer. You’ll get an organized list of the details about what they were given and when it’s next due to show your vet.

House Training

Our puppies get an introduction to crate training. They are also used to going outside through the doggy door to do their business. They are usually easy to house train after moving to their new homes.

The Procedure:

1. We try to keep the website up to date with puppy availability per Litter and Gender, and their estimated birth and go home time frames. You can Use “Contact Us” if you still have general questions about the dogs including about availability etc.
You can also just fill out the Puppy Application, and we usually get back with you on approval within a day or two.
2. If there is a puppy available to reserve, then you can proceed with your deposit. If not, you can request to have your name on the list to be notified about specifically what you hope becomes available, or every availability that comes up. A puppy and the price is reserved at the time of deposit. Your deposit goes toward the total, and is good toward another litter if need be. Price has potential to change if swapping to another litter with a different price, or if the price is not yet set on a future litter. See next column about refunds.
4. We will send you picture updates every 1-2 weeks soon after they are born and until you take your puppy home!
5. We will contact you as the 6week mark approaches for arranging an appointment over choosing time to visit on-site or discuss pictures and videos of the puppies if you can’t make the trip.
6. You can pick up your puppy at 8 weeks of age or soon after, and upon pickup is when the final payment is due.

-An issue arises from Our end such as not enough healthy pups becoming available from an expected upcoming litter.
-Unforeseen misfortune such as job loss or family disruption can be shown to be preventing you from getting ANY puppy.
-Full refund if issue arises from Our end; $100 retained if qualified issue arises from Your end.
-Credit Card fees are not refundable

Puppy Selection

Puppy selection happens once the puppies are about 6-7 weeks old. By then their color and personalities have become more distinct for making better long-term choices! Order of deposits coming in has it’s influence in your order of choosing, but we do let Breeders and Service Dogs get first choices of the litter in order to further the breed and help special needs in the best way possible. Sometimes one litter has fewer puppies than expected and long-time waiting parties will jump to the next litter. You can estimate your choosing position based on availability when you reserve a puppy, but we cannot guarantee a specific place in the choosing line due to the variables mentioned. We can help choose a puppy for you based on what you are planning to use the dog for, what your family setting is, and and what your color preferences are, etc. If we feel that there are no puppies available that match what you are looking for, we will communicate that with you and discuss options from other litters or a full refund.

We’ll contact you a few days before the 6-7 week timeframe for appointments to come see the puppies around the time that selections are being made.
